Who We Are

Russell S. Witte, PhD
Founder & CEO
University of Arizona professor of Medical Imaging, Biomedical Engineering, Optical Sciences, Surgery, and Neurosurgery. He is primary inventor of acoustoelectric (AE) technology and holds ~15 patents related to hybrid imaging techniques and devices that exploit light, sound, and electricity. He is also Founder of ElectroSonix, LLC, which has an exclusive license to AE-related technologies through the UA’s Tech Launch.

Raymond Runyan, PhD
Principal Investigator
ElectroSonix and UA Professor Emeritus of Cellular and Molecular Medicine. He was funded by NIH for more than 30 years working on cardiac development, physiology and anatomy. He is the PI on the current Phase 1 SBIR grant to ElectroSonix. He provides expertise in cardiac physiology and grant management.


Dan Moore, BS - EE
Senior Engineer
He joined ElectroSonix in 2018 and provides expertise in electrical engineering and product development. His recent work focused on the testing of pre-amplification of signals by radio-sensing electrodes and shielding of workstation components to improve the signal to noise ratio of acoustoelectric signals.
Teodoro Trujillo, MS-BME
Biomedical Engineer
Technical engineer who works as company test engineer and liaison. He has researched the technique in his time at the University of Arizona while completing his masters degree. Develops hardware and software solutions for systems integration.
